Words from the artist: This limited collection is the latest body of work resulting from a many-years-long exploration into the relationship between restraint and improvisation. While my previous work is largely inspired by jazz— improvisation within a set of standards that requires the artist to harness a unique intuition for consonance, dissonance, rhythm, and rest— this body of work pulls inspiration from the related, but distinct musical tradition of blues.
