This set of two ceramic cups is a deviation from my usual slip work and marked an exploration into the use of wood ash in my ceramics. Due to the wood ash, as you turn the cup around, you will notice the circles of oxide faded and burned off partially on some parts of the cup. Perhaps a happy accident or wabi sabi of sorts.
The cups feature a raw exterior and a glazed clear interior. Despite there being no glaze on the exterior, these cups are perfectly food and dishwasher safe.
